Tenant Show of Landscapes is up through the 20th and it’s darn worth coming in to see if you haven’t been in yet. Especially this Friday when Pat has his Solar Cooker going and you just might snag a plate of grub at a Hive potluck late lunch, open to all who happens to be around when the food is ready!
What is next, you say, GET ON WITH IT!
The Sun is out and its time to look closer at the nature’s details
in Flora & Fauna.
Flora and Fauna: A Closer Look. The immersive group exhibition opening on 4th Friday Art Walk, June 26, 5:00 to 8:00pm and running through July 19, serves as an invitation to mindfulness, encouraging visitors to slow down and observe nature.
Curated by Art Hive Board Member Alina Pellicer, the exhibit features four contemporary artists from the Prescott community: Cécile Gaunteaume, drawing and fiber art; Tracy Horner, watercolor, and Delisa Myles and Shauna Tewksbury, photography. “The artists use their respective mediums to zoom in on textures, patterns and fleeting moments in nature that often go unnoticed. The collection transforms the gallery into a space of deep, quiet observation. Each artwork reveals more of itself the longer you stand before it,” stated Pellicer. In addition to the featured exhibit, the 30+ resident artist studios will be open during the event.

July 3rd:
Hello everybody and happy Fourth of July. What do you think makes this country wonderful?
If you asked me, I would recklessly say that radical random acts of kindness make a county great! Anywhere.
Helping out a neighbor, a surprise hug, being extra nice to somebody who is having a bad day (we are all human) or letting the wiggly squirrel nibble on the crust of your lunch.
Kindness lightens the heart. What random acts of kindness are available to you?
May we all do radical random acts of kindness daily. No holiday necessary. I believe that makes where we live so truly wonderful.
Have a great 4th and stay kind out there. Hydrate.

Exciting news:
Tenant Artist Coleen Bornschlegel and Sierra Joy are collaborating with Launch Pad art camp to paint a super cool art mural on the back alley wall of the Art Hive.
The kids are super excited (and the adults too!)
They need some financial support to get painting supplies.
If you would consider donating to this cause, your support would be so appreciated.
(anything from $20 - $100 would help make the project a success!)
Art Hive Donations can be made here on the website:
All of your donations help the Non-profit Art Hive Foundation to exhibit local emerging artists in the front gallery, allows the workshop space to be available (and affordable) to community members, and helps to create educational endeavors for local artists and youth.
Please consider supporting the Art Hive Foundation.
